GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS (GDPR)
Summary of GDPR policy for our patients
We hold information about clients on our records. The information we hold is important for us to either:
communicate with you
hold important medical information about you
record your treatments as a legal requirement
All our records are kept on computers and for security reasons these are password protected and have strong
up-to-date anti-virus and firewall software to prevent unauthorised access.
As this data is synchronised across our systems, over the internet, our software supplier 'hosts' the data. We have
been reassured this has been protected to ISO 27001 standard of certification and is therefore extremely safe.
If you make payments using a debit/credit card, we do not and cannot store your card information.
There is a more detailed document of our GDPR policy that can be provided on request by calling into Maxwell Podiatry.
You have a right to ask for the information we hold on you. You can request any changes, although there is a legal requirement for us to keep some records.
Feel free to talk to us about GDPR.
